Support the Michigan Chapter of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums

Preserving the heritage of beauty in our culture through the support of the arts is one of the greatest privilieges.  You, too, can be part of that legacy.

Make an in Memoriam Donation

Often, when someone passes away, a request is made for donations to be made in their name to a favorite charity. The Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums qualifies for such donations. Through the act of giving an in memoriam gift to the Patrons, the family of the deceased receives:

  • A letter acknowledging the donation on behalf of their loved one
  • A description of the project toward which the donation is directed
  • Remembrance at a Mass offered by the International Director in the Vatican
  • An open invitation, when in Rome/Vatican, to visit the restored project for which the donation was used
  • The enormous satisfaction of knowing that their loved one is part of this ongoing legacy of faith through art

Sponsor a Restoration Project

Each year the International Patron’s office publishes a “Wish Book” that describes and assigns a cost to restoration projects that have priority. Please contact one of our Directors to see if there is a project that touches your heart and fits within your budget.  Restoration project sponsors receive special recognition:

  • Donors giving $5000 or more will be listed on a permanent plaque near the completed project in the Vatican Museums.
  • The sponsorship will be acknowledged in:

–    Vatican International and Michigan Patron newsletters

–   The Restorations page on our website

–   Announcements at patron events

  • Sponsors will be invited to attend and be acknowledged at any formal unveilings of the finished project in the Vatican Museums
  • Plus, the sponsor receives the satisfaction of having contributed to preservation of this precious collection of art.

Sponsor an Event

Patrons are known for organizing and delivering some pretty spectacular and unique events for current and prospective Patrons.  Patrons and guests pay to attend the events with a portion of the monies collected going toward restoration projects. Sponsors are welcome to cover part or all of an event cost, thus directing more dollars toward restorations. Event sponsors are invited to:

  • Cover the cost of food and beverage
  • Provide honorariums and/or travel expenses for guest speakers
  • Provide gratuity for Churches and Holy Sites visited
  • Pay for group transportation to/from events
  • Other

Sponsors of events receive recognition:

  • A placard announcing sponsorship prominently displayed at the event
  • As event guests, sponsors are invited to greet and meet Patrons
  • Sponsor participation will be reported in the Events pages of our website
